Developing For iPhone Nano Might Suck

Converting something into a small version is not a joke. It takes lots of labour and skill to develop something in a less space. Because you have less space and you have to maintain all the features. Thanks to the nano technology with the help of which things have become smaller and now PCs fit into your hands. There are palmtop and now it is iPhone. USP of the iphone is the shape and the size of the phone. News is coming that these cell phones are going to decrease in near future by half of the present size. It feels really great to see things like that. But the big question about the iphone is that is it really so easy to develop these ultra small phones? The answer is hidden in the question itself. How much time it took to develop an iphone? After finding the answer of this question you would be able to measure the level of difficulty scientist’s face while developing some life changing and path breaking technology. All it takes hard work and dedication.

The rumors of the smaller and cheaper iphone were coming since the development of the first iphone. Since then it is in news. Whatever be the reason, there are difficulties, preventing developers from developing such a device. The biggest problem is development of different platform on which a suitable application could be developed. Other problem is the problem of screen resolution. It is very difficult to set the resolution of the screen same in different sizes of screen because of the difference in the pixels and some other factors. This problem is called fragmentation in technical language. Because of this it is not possible for different applications to work properly.

The other thing which works as a barrier is the cost of development of the platform and applications and keeping the price at the same level or even at a cheaper than previous one. It is a great challenge before developers. Application paradigm is the another obstacle in the way of development of new iphone nano. Most of the users are accustomed with the on board application usage. Here apple is planning to use cloud OS. Through which applications could be used by streaming. No doubt cost will reduce but what about the time taken in the streaming of the application and one is not able to use it with so much ease as the standard user has got familiar with the ever used application and the platform on which these were used.

These were some of the major constrains which are stopping the developers to develop new and much awaited and talked about iphone nano which is surely going to change the way people use and were using smart phones till date. It needs a courage and think out of box to do that.
